Build a Reusable Executive Bio and Proof-Points Doc
Objective: Build a one-page, ready-to-drop executive bio and proof-points doc, three to five stats, one customer story, one-line POV, that can go into any award submission or speaker application in minutes.
You're on the comms team at Nu Holdings (Nubank). An awards deadline for a fintech industry recognition landed on your desk with five days' notice, and there's no ready executive bio doc to pull from.
Build the living doc the lesson's tip callout describes, so the next deadline never starts from a blank page.
Before you start
What you'll need
Free path (everything below is enough to finish)
Free tier supports a single shared page with edit history so the doc stays current
The process
1 step
Step 01 of 01
The lesson's tip callout: keep three to five stats, one customer story, and a one-line POV ready to drop into any award form or speaker application in minutes instead of starting from a blank page every time.
Using only information you can verify (public reports, customer stories already cleared for external use), build the four sections of the doc for your executive.
Procedure
- Write a 3-sentence executive bio (role, tenure, one credibility marker)
- List 3-5 stats the executive can defend live: revenue, growth, customer count, or a named benchmark
- Write one customer story with a named or anonymized outcome, 2-3 sentences
- Write a single-line POV sentence the executive can say without notes
Sample doc excerpt (different company, for reference) WISE — Kristo Kaarmann, CEO BIO: Co-founded Wise in 2011 to fix the hidden cost of cross-border payments; led the company through its 2021 direct listing on the London Stock Exchange. STATS: - 16.3 million active customers (FY2024 annual report) - GBP 40 billion+ moved cross-border per quarter - 60% of Wise transfers settle in under 20 seconds CUSTOMER STORY: A UK freelancer switched from a high-street bank and saved an estimated GBP 380 a year in hidden transfer markups across 24 payments. POV LINE: 'Cross-border payments shouldn't cost more just because nobody shows you the real exchange rate.'
Healthy
Every stat has a cited source next to it, and the POV line is one sentence the exec has actually said before.
Unhealthy
Stats with no source attached, or a POV line that reads like a tagline nobody would say out loud in an interview.
What this means
A doc built from unverifiable or invented numbers collapses the first time an analyst or reporter asks 'where's that from?' Every entry needs a source you could point to on the spot.
So what do I do about it?
| Symptom | Action | Effort |
|---|---|---|
| The doc took more than 30 minutes to build | Cut to the 3 stats you're most confident defending live and finish the rest later | 5 min |
Final deliverable
A completed one-page executive bio and proof-points doc with bio, 3-5 sourced stats, one customer story, and a one-line POV.

Success criteria
You're done when you can:
- Every stat has a verifiable source noted next to it
- Customer story includes a named or clearly anonymized outcome
- POV line is a single sentence, not a tagline
