Build a 7-Day Threads Launch Content Plan

Halo Top

Objective: Given Halo Top's brand voice, draft a 7-day founder-led Threads launch plan where every post is designed to generate replies, not likes, following the lesson's ranking-signal order and personal-voice tactic.

You're the social lead at Halo Top, the low-calorie ice cream brand, launching the company's first real Threads presence after years of running Instagram only.

Draft 7 days of posts, each ending in a specific answerable question, planned to run mostly from the founder's personal account rather than the brand handle.

Before you start

What you'll need

Free path (everything below is enough to finish)

FreeBuild and share the 7-day content calendar

Free, simple to hand off to the founder for approval before posting

Canva(optional)
FreemiumProduce the 3 native-looking image posts

Free tier covers simple, personal-feeling graphics rather than polished campaign assets

No access? A phone camera shot works fine; the lesson explicitly penalizes overly produced images

The process

1 step

Step 01 of 01

Designing posts for reply depth, not likes

The Core Tactics section ranks Threads signals as reply depth, time spent, follows generated, likes, then reposts. Every post should end with a specific, answerable question, and personal founder accounts pull 10-15x the reach of a corporate handle.

For a 7-day Halo Top launch sprint, what does each day's post look like if it is designed to generate replies from a personal, founder-voiced account instead of a brand broadcast?

Google Sheets— A content calendar sheet with columns: Day, Account, Post Text, Reply Question, Format.

Procedure

  1. List 7 days across the launch week.
  2. For each day, assign the post to the founder's personal account, not @HaloTop.
  3. Write post copy under 500 characters with a strong hook in the first 80 characters.
  4. End every post with a specific, answerable question, not a generic 'thoughts?'.
  5. Note which 3 posts will get an image (native-looking, not a produced ad asset) per the lesson's format guidance.
Sample output
Day 1 | Founder account | 'Started this company because every low-cal ice cream on the market tasted like frozen chalk. What's the worst 'diet' food you've ever forced yourself to finish?' | Format: text only
Day 2 | Founder account | 'We just recalculated our per-pint sugar count for the fifth time this year. What ingredient do you always check first on a nutrition label?' | Format: image, native product shot

...5 more days follow the same structure.

Healthy

All 7 posts end in a specific question and run mostly from the personal account.

Unhealthy

Posts written as product announcements from @HaloTop with no question.

What this means

A launch week built for replies establishes the account's baseline reach before the algorithm has any history to judge it on.

So what do I do about it?

Final deliverable

A 7-day Threads content calendar, mostly posted from the founder's personal account, with every post ending in a specific reply-generating question.

Sample output
Blue Apron Founder Launch Week (excerpt)

Day 1 | Founder account | 'Ten years in, our biggest customer complaint is still portion sizes. What meal-kit gripe have you never been able to shake?' | Format: text only
Day 2 | Founder account | 'We tested 40 box designs before landing on the one you get today. What's a piece of packaging that actually changed how you used a product?' | Format: image, native photo

...5 more days follow the same structure.

Success criteria

You're done when you can:

  • All 7 posts end with a specific, answerable question
  • Majority of posts assigned to the founder's personal account, not the brand handle
  • Hooks land within the first 80 characters
