Spot the Reasons This Content Calendar Won't Get Distribution

Casper Sleep

Objective: Given a real-style draft TikTok content calendar (script + posting notes) for a mattress brand launch, find the specific platform-fit mistakes that will suppress FYP distribution before a single video is filmed.

You're the social lead at Casper Sleep reviewing a freelancer's draft TikTok plan before the team commits budget to filming.

Read each planned video's script and posting notes against the playbook's native-content and search-first rules, flag what will tank distribution before it's shot.

Specimens to review

Which of this script's choices will suppress FYP distribution, and why?

Sample output
VIDEO 1 — "The Casper Difference"
0:00-0:03: Casper logo animation, upbeat brand jingle
0:03-0:15: Studio-shot 16:9 footage of the mattress (cropped to vertical with black bars), voiceover by hired VO talent: "Introducing the all-new Casper mattress."
0:15-0:28: Product shots, professional lighting, no on-screen captions
Caption: "New mattress, who dis? 🛏️"
Hashtags: #ad #mattress
Sound: original brand jingle (0 uses)

Specimen: synthetic, realistic

Two decisions in this posting plan work against the lesson's distribution rules. Which two, and why?

Mon: Video A (sound: trending, 3.4M uses)
Tue: Video B
Wed: Video C
Thu: Video D
Fri: Video E
Sat: Video F
Sun: Video G
Note: "Post daily so the algorithm knows we're active. Reply to comments once a week on Fridays."

Specimen: synthetic, realistic

Final deliverable

A defect list for both draft videos, each tagged critical/moderate/cosmetic, with the fix needed before filming starts.

Sample output
Chewy, TikTok script review (excerpt)

VIDEO 2 — "Autoship Unboxing"
CRITICAL: opens on Chewy logo sting (0:00-0:04) — cut, open on the dog reacting to the box instead
MODERATE: caption has no keyword — add "dog food autoship" spoken in first 5 seconds
OK: native vertical footage, creator voiceover, sound at 42K uses (inside rising window)

Success criteria

You're done when you can:

  • Correctly flags both critical native-vs-ad mistakes in Video 1
  • Identifies the stale sound and posting-cadence issues in the posting plan
  • Does not flag either distractor as a real defect
